New EU cookie law will cost business in the NW £21 million

Ross Fobian, director of Manchester based Call Tracking and Analytics Company AdInsight says that a new EU cookie law which comes into force in the UK on May 25 2011 could cost businesses in the North West at least £21 million when they can least afford it. The law dictates that ‘explicit consent’ must be gathered from web users who are being tracked via text files called ‘cookies’.
